Uncorked at 58 is wine education for adults of legal drinking age.
No jargon. No snobbery. Just the framework — with a practice tasting you can do tonight for under $30.
Get the Masterclass — $29I've been all of those. This masterclass is the thirty minutes I wish someone had handed me the day I said enough.
Why I made this course at 58, and who it's really for. Sets the promise.
A ten-minute tour, grape to glass. Six steps. Every decision a winemaker makes shows up in your glass.
Expensive ≠ better. "Dry" ≠ harsh. Red-with-meat is incomplete. Three permissions you can start using today.
Set up a proper tasting at your kitchen counter. Two bottles, under $30 total. Walk through See · Swirl · Smell · Sip.
Two years ago, I couldn't tell Merlot from Malbec. I drank the same three wines on repeat. I pretended at every dinner.
Then one day I said enough. I committed to learning French wines. That led to Italian. Then Spanish. Grapes and yeast and terroir got interesting, then fascinating, then I-couldn't-stop-reading. Next thing I knew, I was walking into my first sommelier class — at 58.
I'm now a Level 3 certified sommelier. I built this masterclass because the wine education I wanted didn't exist when I started. So I made it.
None of this is a trick. It's just the method. Once you know it, you use it forever.
It's designed for exactly you. Everything starts from scratch. If you've never heard the word terroir before, you will by minute four of Lesson 2. No prerequisites. No vocabulary homework.
Forever. One-time payment. Watch as many times as you want, on any device.
Streaming through your course platform account, with progress tracking. Worksheets are downloadable PDFs you can print.
If the Masterclass isn't for you, email me within 14 days of purchase and I'll refund you in full. No form to fill out. No "three reasons why" — just reply and you're done.
No. This is Module 1 of the larger Uncorked at 58 wine course. It stands alone — complete on its own. If you want the full course later, it's available separately, and I'll credit your $29 toward that purchase.
You need two glasses (any clear, stemmed glasses work), a notepad, a pen, and two specific bottles of wine. I recommend exact bottles inside Lesson 4 — both widely available in the U.S. and both under $17 each.
The course material is available worldwide. The bottle recommendations are U.S.-focused but both wines (Muscadet and Rioja Crianza) are widely distributed across Canada, the UK, Europe, and Australia. Any dry Muscadet and any Rioja Crianza from any producer will work for the practice tasting.
Already-certified sommeliers (you'll find this too foundational). Anyone under 21 (there's an age gate, and I mean it). Anyone looking to memorize vintages and producers rather than learn the method. This course teaches a framework, not a facts list.
This course teaches you about wine as a craft and a cultural object. It does not give medical, dietary, or health advice. If you have concerns about alcohol or sulfites, please consult your doctor before doing the practice tasting.
Two bottles on the counter. A method in your head. A journal in your hand. Nothing to pretend about.
